Good news good news!!

Charli Beth is finally gaining good weight and growing!

On Friday we went to the ENT, because the tissue under her tongue was too long, causing her to be "tongue tied", which can be a hinderance to proper nursing/feeding. So, they clipped it, and ALL IS BETTER! But, the good news at the ENT that we learnd was...

She weighed 10 lbs 3 oz!!

and was 22.5 inches long!

Finally past her birth weight!!!

Daddy's camera will be back this week!

So, i have done an oh most horrible job of updating, but as the birth arrives closely now, i promise to post pics, vids, and more current info of our lil Charli bear!

Due date is Wednesday!

Momma might have her before then. So keep praying and hoping and waiting (waiting.... something i'm not doing to well at right now) as we near the day we'll be holding our angel in our arms!!!

time away... the good kind this time

hey guys.

for those who don't know. last week was completely random and crazy. Beth had a kidney infection for which she was admitted to the hospital thursday night. we spent thursday and friday night there, and went home Saturday. Everything is fine, she just needed some IV antibiotics to kick it out, and out they did! So, Charli Beth and Mommy are A-Ok!

That was a less fun little break from life, but for more EXCITING vacations.... We are actually in Newport Coast, CA visiting some awesome familiy friends!

We will hopefully have some pics to put up soon! Bethy's lil baby bump is growing growing!

G is for GIRL!

It's a girl.  Preparations are UNDER Way and the nursery has now begun to be fully glamour-fied for the Princess's arrival in October.  We are super excited and can not wait for her to get here!  God is so good, our anatomy ultrasound was 100%, so our little angel has a clean bill of health, that's what matter most!

so, this morning is our second ultrasound, in 30 minutes! woohoo! mommy's heading home from getting her hair done for a wedding we have in North Carolina this weekend!  So, we are going to Dr. Duke, and i am for sure believing that our little one will allow us to see what "brand" we're having!

The Wait is O.V.E.R.

Hello All,

I am thrilled to finally make this post.

Next Thursday will not be your normal Thursday.  Because, come 10 o'clock a.m., Bethany and I will be getting our 2nd ultrasound to find out the sex of the BABY! We will know next week! YEAY! Then we can know if we're baby talking to him or her  through the belly button channel! hahaha! So, be praying McBuddy (as we have deemed it) is very very co-operative and in perfect posture so we can see what we need to see!!!

I am beyond excited if you can't tell, so stay tuned to find out the "rest of the story" next week!  Until then, post a comment and tell us what you think we're having! Boy or Girl?

Patience is a Virtue...

I have recently discovered truly how impatient I am.  Worse than waiting for Christmas presents, or even waiting for fast food at the window, I CAN NOT WAIT FOR THIS BABY TO GET HERE!

I guarantee every child i've seen the past six weeks probably thinks I'm a freak! I look at every kid i see and think, only a matter of months, and i'll be looking at my very own child, face2face.  What an amazing Gift! Our next appointment is in a week or so, the 23rd!  Just a regular checkup!  

Also, wanted you all to know that Momma is feeling WAAAAAYYY better, as the Morning Sickness had way overstayed it's welcome, so we kindly/gladly escorted it out of the picture! haha. but, she really is feeling better, thanks for your prayers!!

it's 6:55 a.m..... why am i awake... OH YEAH, we gotta hit the road and get to the first ultrasound!  We'll find out all the details of how far along we are and hopefully get a glimpse of baby (peanut)!

the Blog & the Baby

Hey everybody!  Bethany and I have finally gotten the blog up and going! This past year has been amazing!  It's almost been a year since we got married, but it seems like only yesterday!

So, to cut to the chase for why we started the blog for those of you who don't know.... WE ARE EXPECTING A BABY!  

Come this fall, the McClendons will go from a Family of 2, to a family of 3, well, 4 including our stellar black miniature schnauzer "Oscar" who considers himself the true "first born!"

Of course we are all smiles and excitement as we prepare and anticipate the arrival of the baby.  So, I am going to use the blog to keep you all updated on any news, pictures, dr. visits, or hilariously embarrassing/entertaining stories that may be contained in this next 7 months and beyond.

And now for the FIRST UPDATE!!!  This Thursday, March 26th, at 7:45 CT is our first ULTRASOUND!!! Pray and keep your fingers crossed that little baby ("peanut" as i call it right now) will be in perfect posture for the sonogram so we can get some good pics!!  I plan to update the blog with Ultrasound pics by Thursday afternoon!

That's it! Be praying for Bethany as she adjusts to all the changes and new rhythm of pregnant life.  Morning sickness has been pretty rough & tough, but this last week we have seen some calm in the storm!  WE love you all and look forward to posting soon!
